Constantine was
euphoric! It was amazing! When he left off to work, he wrote on a piece of
paper:
“I may have found
something. It’s sweet. Life will change. There will be money, lots of it!”
And, in a hurry, he
added “Bye!” instead of the usual “Love, Constantine.”
His wife read the
note over and over again and panicked. For the life of her, she could not
understand what was happening. He was leaving her for a younger woman, she
thought, with her heart broken. He, well, he was talking about saccharin.
He came home and she went on a rampage. But babe let me explain, he said...No, no, I don't want to know anything about it, it was meant to be... I never told you but I knew from the beginning. But please let me.... She interrupted him abruptly, I don't care anymore, and for your knowledge I did it too so don't feel bad, I'm in love with the neighbour, Mr. Constantin Fahlberg.
ReplyDeleteSweet love is, what sweet love does!!
And not a calorie was gained!! ;-))
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments, Ira and John! Micro-stories writing is extraordinary and turning it into a collaborative activity could be extremely interesting! ;)
