Agate

Westdell

“Find me a treasure,” asked her friend. “Find me a timeless treasure.”
A piece of jewelry, a chest filled with money, a hidden travel destination, a gemstone. What could she offer her friend? She thought about it, day and night, agonizing over the fact that they were running out of time. One day, while going for a walk, she came to a clearing filled with beautiful yellow daisies. She noticed one small, frail, little flower under the daisies. It was colorful, bright, and almost talkative. She named it Agate.
Her friend decided to leave the hospital while she could still walk, bringing her treasure home with her. She took it out of the pot and planted it in her garden.
“This will be your home now,” said her friend. “This will be your timeless home.”
