Blind Jump Into... Promise

Misali

The storm approached without warning as the four men were sailing out to sea. The fishing season had started and they were used to hardship. As their work progressed, the fishermen ignored the skies rumbling above, testing their will. Lightening broke out violently and wrestling waves mirrored the echoing of thunder. After many hours of struggle, the trawler capsized. The men’s anguish took over and they struggled to stay afloat, to breathe, to survive, every man for himself. The youngest of them all, a rookie called Fred Promise, whose name had been the object of persistent mockery among the men, held on to a floating crate. Taken by a sudden determination, he swam towards the others, gathering them around his crate. The storm lasted for many hours more, but when it subsided, they were still alive, the four of them, around that crate. A soft drizzle washed their pain away, while Fred Promise repeated “It’ll be fine. You’ll see. It’ll be fine."
