A typical equation.. it’s periphery from two
fixed points… conic section… intersection, and the kid’s eyes wandered outside, out into
the blue, a line barely visible dividing two worlds, just like the axis that cut the surface of the cone,
or so he thought. A blur of sounds, a blur of words, and a blur of concepts
invaded his imagination alive with wondrous beings that flew outside the
window, barely visible, in the periphery of the boat by the shore and the
lonely tree in the yard. The surface of the lake was the soft scaled skin of
his dragon, forever waiting for him outside. The ellipse is a circle and he flew above the lake, holding on
tight to those blue wings, two worlds merged in a dream of elliptic journeys.
