Samurai

The Labyrinth of Absurdity

2780. City of Toyomoto. A war had broken between casts. Thousands were fleeing, walking into the unknown. A sense of urgency was in the air, broken only by the low anxious whimpers of the youngest children. Out in the far toxic regions of the country, long abandoned, they would have to find a new home while the warriors fought their way through a nightmare. The samurais invoked the code of the warrior, honor, and ethics, but the younger generations cared for nothing but fighting, regardless of any rules. “Modern times have no place for honor,” yelled one of them. “To subdue your enemy without fighting,” said an older samurai “is the ultimate skill.” Silence. After a few seconds, the younger warrior stood up, commanded everyone to follow him with a wave of the hand, and the war continued. In protest, the samurais left the city as well, vowing to protect the people during the saddest period of this city.

So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.
